What owners ask first.
Does switching interrupt anything?
No. Your LLC keeps its charter number, its formation date, and its standing. The only thing that changes is the agent address Maine has on file. We prepare the change filing and pay Maine’s fee.
Is the annual report really included?
On Compliance and Shield we prepare and file it every year, and the State of Maine’s $85 fee is billed to you at cost. On the Agent plan we send deadline reminders and you file it yourself.
What happens when something is served on my LLC?
It comes to our office at 1020 Stillwater Avenue, Bangor, ME. We scan it and email it to you the same business day, and it’s in your account with the time it arrived.
What about official-looking letters about my annual report?
Maine’s Secretary of State doesn’t mail annual report forms or invoices, and warns that official-looking mail about the report is often a scam solicitation. On Compliance, Maine’s receipt for your filed report is in your account, so you can check any letter against what’s actually on file.
